well, it's christmas time, (2008) for those back readers, and it has been a tremendous season for great video games. and yet, with the economy in the crapper, sales have been poor and some really great studios are struggling to keep their doors open. in this odd time, most of my 30 something, early adopting friends are feeling more like kids in a candy store with no money - myself included.
so, with money what it is, and choices what they are, consumers (that's us) need to start looking at value in platform games - and i think little big planet is the hands down winner. with user generated levels (free), great online play (free) with your friends, weekly content updates (some free, some not), and beautiful art direction, this is a game that will remain fresh, fun and exciting for years.
